Privacy notice
Last updated 19 October 2026.
Foothold is a student startup run by Regan Sugrue. This notice explains what information we collect through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. If you have any questions, email footholduk@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Businesses: if you register interest, we collect your name, business name, email address and anything you tell us about a job you'd like done.
- Students: the survey runs on Microsoft Forms. We see your answers and, if you choose to leave it, your email address.
This website doesn't use cookies, advertising or tracking tools.
Why we use it
- To contact you about the Foothold pilot and invite you to join when it launches.
- To understand what students and businesses need, so we build the right thing. Survey results are only ever reported as totals, never with names.
We rely on your consent, which you give when you submit a form. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us.
Who can see it
Only the Foothold team. We never sell your information or share it for marketing. It's stored with the services we use to run the site: Netlify (website and business form), Microsoft (the student survey) and Google (our email).
How long we keep it
We keep your details until the end of the pilot, or for 12 months at most if the pilot doesn't go ahead. After that we delete them, unless you've signed up to use Foothold.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Just email footholduk@gmail.com and we'll reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
